How to get to your hotel from the airport

The Lisbon International Airport is close to the city centre and inside the city limits.

The easiest way to get from the airport to the hotel is by taxi. As usual, beware of taxi fares for tourists on airports. :-(

The safest thing is to buy a taxi voucher at the tourist desk on the arrival lounge. This grants you a fixed price on your taxi ride to the hotel. If you want to take your chances with the normal price, it is usually better to get the taxi on the departures, rather than on the arrivals... anyway, setting a price before the journey is safer.

There is also an AEROBUS that can take from the airport to the city center. Go until the end of the line (Cais do Sodré) and then catch tram 15 to get to Alcântara, if you are going to Vila Galé Ópera Hotel. See this map for details.

You can always take a regular bus, but there are no direct buses and you will have to change. There are serveral combinations you may want to take: bus up to "Areeiro", then subway from "Areeiro" to "Cais do Sodré" then tram 15 from there to the hotel. But it is really too much trouble.

Conference Hotel (fully booked!)

The conference hotel (Hotel Vila Galé Ópera) is now fully booked. Please consider making your reservation in one of the other hotels with an aggreement for the UML conference.

All hotel rooms reserved for the conference are twin rooms. The price varies according to the number of room occupants:

  • 90 euros - single
  • 113 euros - double

Travel Info

TAP Air Portugal has agreed to offer a discount to the registered participants who make their flight booking and buy their ticket exclusively through TAP Air Portugal's website. The discounts offered are the following:

  • 15% in economy class
  • 20% in business class

The code IT4TPCG05 has been given to this conference and it must be mentioned when making the booking in order to benefit from the discount. The key word ECO UML 04 should also be mentioned.

To make the booking, the participant should follow these steps:

  • enter the website www.tap-airportugal.com and select the dates and cities of choice
  • click on Book Now and make a normal booking
  • the conference code, as well as the registration/participant number must be inserted in the Special Requests field.

Important Information:

  • The discount applicable to this conference is only valid for online bookings made exclusively through TAP Air Portugal's website and with payment by credit card. The ticket will always be an electronic ticket, except in cases of destinations where the electronic ticket is not possible.
  • Bookings made previously by travel agencies or at our desks are not eligible for this discount.
  • The final price shown at the end of the booking is the public fare available and applicable to the selected flights and dates, including taxes. The fair discount will be applied, only at issuing moment, over the fare available, excluding all taxes related to the voyage. The currency used will always be Euros.
  • The discount only applies to TAP operated flights. Bookings on code-share flights operated by other airlines are not permitted. Code-share flights are identified on online bookings with the code OP (Example: TP6701 OP).
  • The discount applies to round trip journeys from any TAP destination.
  • The booking can be made at any time. The travel dates must be comprehended in the period of 10 days before / 10 days after the conference dates.
