Call for Posters and Demos (Closed)

Posters and Demos provide authors with a unique opportunity to discuss ongoing work and get feedback. Posters are especially useful to present and discuss exciting new work that may not yet be sufficiently mature for a long paper.

Live demonstrations of cutting-edge systems are an important and exciting part of modern computer science events. Demonstrations accompanying papers are particularly encouraged. Commercial demonstrations are not suitable for this call and should be submitted to the tool exhibition track.

Accepted posters will be presented in a poster/demo session at the conference and will be included in a separated volume together with Industry Papers, Panels and Workshop Results.

Submission Guidelines:

Poster and demo descriptions should be 2-3 pages in Postscript or PDF using the Springer LNCS style:

http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html.

Authors are requested to prepare submissions as close as possible to final camera-ready form. Overlength papers will not be reviewed. Each submission should include:

  • a concise description of the idea
  • the results or findings / description of the demo system
  • the implications of the work to the field
  • recommendations for further investigation

Full literature searches are not expected, although relevant citations should be included.

Important dates:

  • Submission deadline: 30 August 2004
  • Author notification: 13 September 2004
